The President is a tard

I read today that the President said he wants alternatives to evolution taught in America's public schools. Can you fucking believe this guy?

According to the Washington Post, Bush wants to teach us all "Intelligent Design," which holds that either an intelligent force (God) designed the earth over a short period of time (a la the Book of Genesis) or that an intelligent force has served to mold the world over the longer course of its history.

So why is the President seeking to offer alternatives to the theory that his own science advisor called "the cornerstone of modern biology?" Why are we pretending that modern science belongs on the same plane as prehistoric and tribal creationist myths?

If I wanted to explain the appearance of stars and planets with an alternative to the modern theory (maybe I believe in something involving holy Templar dwarves and giant predatory mice?) would Bush support teaching my beliefs alongside the admittedly more well accepted notion that stars are actually burning balls of hydrogen and helium gas?

Can I please tell a classroom full of little kids that zits and headaches are the direct result of their impure thoughts?

The Scientologists believe that all human suffering is caused by the ghost victims of an ancient galactic emperor named Xenu. Can I PLEASE teach that to little kids who don't know any better? Please?!?!
